# Searching, Sorting, and Filtering

Finding phrases in the Phrases tab of your Localize dashboard

For applications with a lot of content, finding specific phrases in your Localize dashboard can be challenging. Localize offers several ways to help you search and filter phrases on the [Manage Phrases](https://app.localizejs.com/phrases) page.

> 📘 Using Multiple Filters
>
> Keep in mind that you can use many combinations of the following filters to dig down deep to find specific phrases.

## Simple Search Bar

You can use the search bar to search for:

* Text in the source language
* Text in any of the target languages

Start typing in the search bar, and Localize will start searching as you type. You can also use various symbols when searching, like `@ $ * # ( ) € & ? [ ] { } +` etc.

        "Simple Search for photography.png",
        ""
      ],
      "align": "center",
      "sizing": "80% ",
      "border": true
    }
  ]
}
[/block]

> 📘 Searching for Target Language Text
>
> If you search with a target language text string and that target language isn't the currently selected language, the search text will still be found and the source language phrase will be displayed with the currently selected language's translation (if available). Switching to the target language of the search text will display the translation in that target language.

## Advanced Search

### Filter by Number of Requests

You can filter the list of phrases by the number of times a phrase was requested by users on your website.

**Finding Spam Content**: This helps find phrases that were only requested once or twice, typically indicating spam content. The phrases can be reviewed and if spam, moved to the Blocked bin so that Localize will ignore the phrase in the future.

You can enter one of three values for the number of requests:

1. **Equals** - the phrases were requested this exact number of times
2. **Greater than** - the phrases were requested more than this number of times
3. **Less than** - the phrases were requested fewer than this number of times
   1. Setting this to 2 or 3 can help find junk phrases added by a 3rd-party browser plugin.

* It's a best practice to have these phrases translated by a human so that they are more accurate for the search engines to find and when displayed in the search results.
* To check which of these phrases have not yet been translated by a human, combine this filter with the **Translated By** filter and select \*\*No Human Translation".

### High-Traffic Pending Phrases

This filter shows any phrases that were requested by your end users over 100 times.

### Recently-Seen Pending Phrases

This filter shows phrases that were created within the last hour.
