This Django integration guide shows you how to translate Django apps in a few easy steps. Follow this tutorial to create a multilingual Django app translated to other languages for your international customers.

Below is a step by step guide for integrating [Localize](https://app.localizejs.com/) into your Django application.

If you do not have a Localize Project yet, signup [here](https://app.localizejs.com/signup)!

### 1a. Install the Localize Code Snippet

Copy the [Localize Code Snippet](http://help.localizejs.com/docs/installation) below and paste it in between the `<head> </head>` tags of all pages that you want to translate. This could be in one of your template HTML files.

```javascript Localize Snippet
<script src="https://global.localizecdn.com/localize.js"></script>
<script>(function(a){if(!a.Localize){a.Localize={X:[]};var methods=["translate","untranslate","phrase","initialize","translatePage","setLanguage","getLanguage","getSourceLanguage","detectLanguage","getAvailableLanguages","setWidgetLanguages","hideLanguagesInWidget","untranslatePage","bootstrap","prefetch","on","off","hideWidget","showWidget"];for(var i=0;i<methods.length;i++){a.Localize[methods[i]]=(function(m){return function(){a.Localize.X.push([m,arguments]);};})(methods[i]);}}})(window);</script>
<script>
  Localize.initialize({
    key: '[[app:key]]',
    rememberLanguage: true,
    // other options go here, separated by commas
  });
</script>
```

\* Ensure that your **Project Key** is displayed in between the single quotes next to "**key: '????'**".

### 1b. Add Initialization Options

Add any desired options to the Localize.initialize() call above, [check here for the full list of possible options](https://developers.localizejs.com/docs/library-api).

Some popular options include:

* [autoApprove](https://developers.localizejs.com/docs/library-api#section-auto-approve) - use to automate your translation workflow fully
* [retranslateOnNewPhrases](https://developers.localizejs.com/docs/library-api#retranslateonnewphrases) - automatically display translations for known source content
* [localizeImages](https://developers.localizejs.com/docs/library-api#section-localize-images) - allows for localization of images in your site

### 2. Load your application in a browser.

1. Visit your website (or application).
2. Select one of your **target languages** using the language-switching widget.
3. Refresh the page.
4. Lather, rinse, and repeat, for each page on your site.

Localize will automatically begin detecting new content on the pages you visit and bring it into your dashboard.

### 3. Approve phrases

Then head on over to the [Manage Phrases page](https://app.localizejs.com/phrases?page=1\&state=pending\&pageFilter=all) to [approve phrases](https://help.localizejs.com/docs/approve-content-for-translation) in the Localize dashboard.

        null
      ],
      "align": "center",
      "border": true
    }
  ]
}

### 4. Phrases not showing up?

If you are not seeing phrases show up in your Pending bin in the Localize dashboard, [follow the troubleshooting instructions here](https://help.localizejs.com/docs/my-dashboard-is-empty).
