Extra whitespace being added after var tag, after page has been translated.

The html is:

<span isolate=\"isolate\">Aug <var count=\"count\">3</var>, <var count=\"count\">2018</var></span>

and there is no whitespace when the page loads in english, but then after it is translated the whitespace is added in front of the comma ->
<span isolate=\"isolate\">Aug <var count=\"count\">3</var> , <var count=\"count\">2018</var></span>
